AlAhmar

The AlAhmar necropolis is located southeast, between the AlFarid massif and the central residential area of Hegra. This funerary complex consists of twenty-two tombs, numbered IGN111 to IGN130.1, spread across two sectors and divided into three rocky massifs. The facades carved on the east side of the main massif are accessible via a sandy slope. The surrounding conditions show numerous alveoli and surface alterations caused by water runoff, with visible cracks and erosion. The lower parts of the west-facing tombs are affected by the presence of soluble salts and capillary rising damp, influencing their conservation
